In this way, Swiss Helicopter AG is also responding to a steadily growing customer need.

To achieve CO2 neutrality of our flights, we rely on so-called Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs). These are produced from biological raw materials or synthetically. Since, on the one hand, the demand for these CO2 neutral fuels on the part of the airlines is currently huge, but, on the other hand, the production volume is still low and the prices are high, SAFs are unfortunately only available in very limited quantities at present. In addition, due to the current legal situation, we are currently only allowed to blend a maximum of 50% SAFs. Therefore, we are currently still dependent on being able to compensate for the remaining emissions. To this end, Swiss Helicopter AG is working with the German partner company Carbonfuture. This promising innovative start-up is active in the field of recovering CO2 from the air (carbon removal) using plant carbon.
