Swiss Helicopter Flight School offers its own theory courses for private and commercial pilot training. Theory includes general subjects such as air-traffic law, meteorology, navigation and human capability, as well as helicopter-specific subjects like helicopter knowledge, flight planning, operational procedures and aerodynamics.
The required knowledge can be acquired through distance learning courses, exam registration via a certified flight school is mandatory.
We offer evening, weekend and intensive courses, including radiotelephony, refresher courses in individual subjects and preparation courses for flight instructors.
We also ensure professional support throughout both your theoretical and practical training.
Our flight instructors will be pleased to give you individual advice to find the best solution for your needs.
Theory-training locations
You can obtain theory training in Locarno, Gruyères, Belp and Balzers, as well as at one of our partner schools. Courses at these locations are held at irregular intervals, mostly during the winter, with private tuition available at any time.
